Nyumanzi Refugee Camps

There are nineteen camps clustered in northwestern Uganda. They are administered by the UNHCR. Hundreds of thousands of refugees have arrived since a civil war in South Sudan began in December, 2013. The food allowance provides for two meals of maize porridge per day.

Most of these children are orphans.
